Super King or Twin Room with Private Lounge and luxury Bathroom
The Lower Deck is on the first floor of Britannia House facing the sea with lovely views. This room has two 6’6” cast iron single beds by the ‘Cornish Bed Company’ which can be zipped together to form a Super King bed, making the room really versatile.
Lower Deck guests have exclusive use of the adjoining first floor living room with sea views and a comfortable settee and armchairs, a log burner for those cool evenings and smart TV. Guests also have exclusive use of a private bathroom with walk in rain shower and marble sink unit. We provide dressing gowns and fluffy white towels and offer natural, ethically sourced ‘Cole & Lewis’ toiletries.
We have a no outdoor shoes upstairs policy, so please feel free to bring your slippers to relax and feel completely at home.
Free parking for one car is provided at a nearby reserved car parking location a short walk away.

Breakfast
We believe starting the day with a hearty freshly made breakfast is an essential part of your stay. Alison bakes her own breads, muesli and granola using top quality locally sourced ingredients. Our free range eggs are from happy hens next door, fresh fruit is from Thornes Greengrocers of Long Rock; our bacon & speciality sausages come from traditional butcher Vivian Olds of St Just; and our salmon is locally smoked in Newlyn.
For our Lower Deck guests freshly prepared breakfast is served in our spacious dining kitchen at a time to suit you between 8.30am and 9.30am.
We offer a wide choice of cooked or continental breakfast including vegetarian and gluten free options. Please let us know in advance if you have any specific dietary requirements and we will do our best to help.

Minimum stays at the Lower Deck, Britannia House
Please note that in common with most Hotels, B&B’s and Guest Houses in Cornwall we prefer a minimum stay of 2 nights. Very exceptionally1 night stays may be taken at our discretion.
Arrival & Departure
Standard Check-in times are from 4:00pm to 7:00pm (we will always call you if the room is ready earlier).
Check-out is before 11:00am.
Access
The Lower Deck bedroom, living room and its private bathroom are all situated on the First Floor.
Please note, we do not have a lift, so the stairs may make access difficult for those with limited mobility.
Children, Pets and T&C’s
The Lower Deck B&B Room has the option of 2 single beds. We welcome well behaved children over 12 years to stay in our Lower Deck Room when a parent is sharing the room, or has booked to stay in the Upper Deck.
We have a friendly black Labrador called ‘Betty’ living with us at Britannia House, however our bed and breakfast maintains a strict ‘No Guest Pets’ policy.
