Beach fishing from Marazion can be surprisingly productive with bass, plaice and mackerel caught from various marks. Lugworm bait can be dug at low tide and then the tide fished in. Sail from Marazion beach in a variety of dinghy’s including Mirror, Laser, RS200, Lark, Osprey and Wayfarer. Racing is on Tuesday, Friday evenings and Sunday mornings. Visiting novice or experienced sailors are welcome to enjoy the organised taster sessions run by the club – or just ask someone with their boat by the water – they may be happy to take you for a sail. www.mbsc.org.uk
RNLI Lifeguards patrol the safe sandy beach bathing area in front of the Mount, providing shallow sheltered waters to enjoy as an adult or as a child. If you are more experienced there are organised events where you can swim around the Mount or across the bay to Penzance.
